What we collect, why, who helps us process it, how long we keep it, and how you can exercise your rights under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

Who we are

MadMonk ("we") runs this store and is the data fiduciary for the personal data described here. Contact: store@madmonk.co.

What we collect and why

  • Orders: name, email, phone, billing and delivery address, items ordered — to make, ship and invoice your order and handle returns.
  • Account: email and password (stored by our platform provider; we never see your password) — so you can log in and see your orders.
  • Custom artwork and instructions: the files and text you upload — to show you a preview and to produce your order. You need an account to upload; every image you try in the preview is stored privately with your account, and MadMonk sees which images you tried and which design you chose, so we can help with your order. You can ask us to delete them from your account page.
  • Bulk enquiries: the details you submit — to reply with a quote, with your consent.
  • Payments: handled by Razorpay. We receive the payment status and reference, never your full card or bank details.
  • Technical data: basic logs and, only with your consent, analytics about how the site is used.

Who processes it for us

We use service providers who process data on our instructions: Wix (store platform and hosting — data may be stored outside India), Razorpay (payments), Google (operational spreadsheets), Resend (transactional email), Google reCAPTCHA (bot protection on sign-up and login) and courier partners (delivery). We share only what each needs. We don't sell your data.

How long we keep it

Order and invoice records are kept as long as tax and accounting law requires. Artwork files are kept for the life of your order and a reasonable period after for reorders and disputes, then deleted. Enquiries that don't become orders are deleted after 24 months. Marketing consent lasts until you withdraw it.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct, update or erase your personal data, withdraw consent, and nominate someone to exercise your rights. Logged-in customers can do this from My account → Profile & privacy; anyone can email us. We may need to keep some records where the law requires.

Children

This store is meant for adults. If you are under 18, please order with a parent or guardian.

Grievances

Contact our Grievance Officer, MadMonk at store@madmonk.co. We acknowledge within 48 hours and resolve within one month. You may also approach the Data Protection Board of India.

We'll update this page when our practices change and show the date at the top.
